Below are two images, both of a portrait I painted from a photo by Jamie Hawkesworth - http://jamiehawkesworth.blogspot.com/

I think the polaroid is particularly interesting.

Animals

After making quite a nice owl illustration for my childrens book i thought it would be a good idea to try my hand at some animal illustrations!
Here's a go at an elephant!

Heres a go at a tortoise.. Think I might do an A-z of animals book in this sort of style..

I had a go at...

...some fashion type illustration today, but tried to put my own style into it. Quite pleased with it for a quick job and as a concept!
Dad made a good point that you don't want fashion models to look like they have parchment skin, but I think it works okay... Like I say, it was just an idea I had and this was the result!

Wrapping Paper

My wrapping paper was chosen (kind of)!
They really liked the bee design but found it was probably not that marketable. They also really liked the style I did it in so asked if i'd try the same thing with butterflies which they have decided to go with!
Not too keen on the colour myself, but apparently it's very in demand atm!

Elective Project

For our creative Business project we had to design a wrapping paper for a large paper company, to be used in florists across the country. This was actually a live brief, if my design is chosen it will go to print and I'll get £300. Though it's unlikely!
I decided to go on the theme of insects.

Left Hand of God - Don't Panic Competition

Our latest assignment was to enter the Don't Panic Competition, which was to do an illustration for Penguin Books new release The Left Hand of God's promotional posters. The image was to be based on the main character, Thomas Cale.

Repackage

For our first project of the new term we had to buy a product for under £1 and redesign the packaging so it would sell for over £2. I chose Rocky Road :) Below is the net for the box.

Dewey decimal

For this project we were given a random dewey decimal number (library referencing system) and had to illustrate that subject. My subject was microbiology and evolution.
